 anyway this is one of my longtime original characters, Ian. He was inspired by "The Goonies" and the "Pirates of the Carribean" series. As most pirates are about sailing the seas living independently and following their own rules, Ian here lives for only one thing: GOLD, GOLD, and more importantly, GOLD! Story (or the story that I came up so far) was that he used to be in love with a beautiful girl. One he would do anything for. So one night, she asked him to steal a priceless gold necklace for her. If he did this, she would admit her undying love for him. His heart filled with courage and a new sense of purpose, he managed to snag the necklace for his beloved. But to his dismay, when he went to give it to the girl, he discovered the woman of his dreams was working with a rival group of pirates who have been after the necklace for some time. She was just using him to get what they were after. She never really cared for or loved him. Furious and vengeful, he fought the pirate band mercilessly and retrieved his necklace. He then left his ex-beloved, angry and heartbroken, and promised himself that he would never let himself be hurt like by anyone ever again and to this day, he wears that same necklace to remind himself that his only love is for treasure. So he sails the oceans, stealing from nearby ships, pickpocketing unsuspecting citizens and pirates from every town and city, quenching his eternal thirst for gold. (of course this is all before he met *Trounced's character, Brandywine). Even though it seems like Ian's reason for living is stealing gold, jewels, and more gold, he's not as greedy as you think. In fact, at most times, his good nature and sense of right and wrong outweigh his greed, which makes it difficult for him to hang onto the gold that he was after in the first place. His personality is actually a bumbling and absent-minded one, yet is also adventurous and quite clever. He can also be suave and charming, but only to get what he's after.
