Earlier I said that I would not mind Disney getting the rights to Superman in the least, given the atrocious treatment DC/WB has given him since 1986. But in light of the Disney/Marvel merger...yeah, I take it back. Not so much because of Disney itself, but because a Disney-owned Superman would fall into the slimy hands of Joe "Real heroes make deals with the devil to salve their guilt" Quesada. That would actually be WORSE than the redheaded stepchild treatment DC/WB gives him.
If it was Disney itself controlling Superman, it wouldn't be so bad. But Superman falling into Marvel's hands, especally with the creep currently running the company (straight into the ground)? Ugh.
Ah, as a DC and Disney girl, this makes me happy. Of course, the film will never happen because of copyrights and such, but still, it's an interesting idea. ^^ I think the closest film to Superman in Disney would be "Hercules", and even that film has it's own thing.
Anyway, very nice! I love the idea of DC and Disney switching styles for once, and I love the minor changes you did to Superman's costume (I have a Superboy vibe from them ) and Lois and Lex look awesome as well. Would love to see more of Disney styled superheroes. (hmm, how about Young Justice? )
Ok you know I love your art and this is great, but Disney's Superman......That's just wrong, I'm sorry, but it's just the way I feel.
It would just not work, Disney would totally ruin Superman beyond all reason, I mean look at what they did to the Animated Series already. They butchered it. I mean totally killed it with all those stupid content edits. UGH!!!!!
Ok Rant over, sorry about that. Despite my little Geek rant the piece itself is good. It's just that whole Disney thing I have a problem with.
